The Mambo Orchestra was established in 2015 as way to connect with the rich Hispanic culture present in San Diego and Southern California. This ensemble performs everything from Cuban folk music to Salsa.
We are making Mission Bay history this year taking our award-winning Mambo Orchestra on tour in San Francisco.
Our goal is to take 30 students to perform and study in the bay area. This area is home to some of the greatest Latin jazz, salsa and mambo musicians on the west coast. This will be an educational and musical opportunity of a lifetime for our student musicians.

THE MAMBO ORCHESTRA
The award-winning Mission Bay Mambo Orchestra is one of the most exciting groups to come out of the school. Students learn and perform the traditional and dance music of Cuba, Puerto Rico and Latin American countries. This large diverse ensemble specializes in Latin Jazz and the salsa music made famous by the great Tito Puente, Joe Arroyo, Eddie Palmieri and Celia Cruz. Get ready to get up on your feet and dance!
